Workstation cranes create safe work cells by providing flexible lifting and shifting capacity over a wide area:
- Avoid crippling injuries.
- Unique design provides 10:1 ergonomic lift. Move 1000kg with 10kgs of force.
- 3 times easier to move than I beam cranes.
- Productivity gains of up to 28%.
- Available as ceiling or floor mounted bridge cranes, jibs and monorails.
- Spans up to 10.3 metres.
- Capacities from 125kg to 2000kg.
- Modular, durable and tough
- Easy to install and relocate.
- Workshops, production lines.
- Stacking, moving and emptying bags.
- Steel and timber movement.
- Roll and drum handling.
- Die changing.
Workstation cranes are one of the most flexible efficient manual handling available. They are three times easier to use than traditional I beam cranes and allow for safe lifting and product handling over a large area – effectively creating a "safe work cell" for users.
What do they do?
Gorbel Workstation Cranes provide a load handling and positioning function from above the work cell. They incorporate an articulating structure above the workstation from which is suspended a hoist or other lifting device. This results in the ability to move the load horizontally and vertically throughout the workstation.
They have a multitude of uses including moving components in and out of processing machinery, moving components, tooling or fixtures on production lines, positioning welding equipment or wire feeders and turning or positioning weldments during fabrication.
Gorbel cranes are so efficient at easing the effort needed they make work "child's play"

Gorbel Workstation Cranes can be configured as follows:
Ceiling Mounted: Incorporates two parallel runways, suspended from the building ceiling, bridge can travel. A hoist trolley or crab can travel along the bridge, thus providing full coverage over a rectangular work area. Multiple bridges can be attached to a single bridge and the capacities of these bridges can vary according to need.
Freestanding Bridge Crane (Floor Mounted)
As above, except that the runways are supported on a freestanding structure.
Jib Cranes - Freestanding or Floor Mounted
They incorporate a vertical mast, fixed to the floor or footing and a horizontal boom along which a hoist trolley or crab can travel and rotate about the mast to provide full coverage over a circular work area.
Jib Cranes - Wall Mounted
As above, except that the boom rotates on a pivot fixed to the wall of a building. Wall mounted jibs provide coverage over a semi-circular work area.
A single runway, either ceiling mounted or freestanding along which a hoist trolley can travel.
Workstation Cranes are invariably fixed to the floor or structure of the building in which they operate. The structural adequacy of the floor or building structure must be evaluated before installing the crane.
Cranes can be used to cover wide areas but there are limits on span and bridge length. Gorbel cranes offer the widest available spans and bridge lengths and it is important to discuss with your distributor your exact requirements.
