The Storage and Handling of Flammable and Combustible Liquids.
The conformances to these regulations are set out in the following.

These Storage Units are classified as package stores for External Storage of:
1) Class 3 Flammable & Combustible Liquids
2) Class 4.1 Flammable Solids
3) Class 5.1 Oxidizing Substances
4) Class 5.2 Organic Peroxides

Personnel Access:
These storage units are designed for bulk storage for forklift access only. Custom design for personnel access including ventilation & locking requirements are catered for if specifically required.
Construction:
Relocatable Stores are of all welded steel construction capable of a limited fire rating.
They are coated with a two pack highly resistant polyurethane coating. For corrosive substance storage a chlorinated rubber is applied for resistance.
Spillage Control:
These storage units have a spillage sump with at least 25% capacity of the total rated capacity. This sump has a suspended grid floor to maintain this capacity whilst loaded. A larger capacity sump is incorporated for Bulki-box stores to hold the requirements in AS1940 – 1993 clause 4.3.3.
Ventilation:
Ventilation of relocatable stores is included to conform to the appropriate standard. This is a natural ventilation system comprising of 0.12m squared vent openings in the rear wall, with louvred vents to the front doors. These vents are protected to prevent blockage by a cross bar as required in clause 4.3.4. This ventilation system would come under clause 4.4.3. (e).
Storage Security Signs & Notices:
These units have high security ISO locking bars to ensure storage is non accessible during off-use.
Signs are attached to the front of the as required in 3.4.2. Construction meets clause 3.4.3.
Separation Distances:
Being Relocatable the onus of meeting requirements regarding boundary separation distances, distances from protected works, distances from other stores etc. is put back on the end user.
Whilst Storemasta recommends where these units should be placed on a site, and gives instruction on regulatory requirements, the final positioning of these units is beyond our control. Storemasta always suggests that a site approval be obtained from the relevant regulatory authority once the unit is positioned.
Product Compatibility:
Whilst Storemasta endeavours to ensure the substances to be stored are stored correctly, the compatibility of substances within the same class is again the end users responsibility.
Custom Design:
Custom designing is available regarding vapour barriers, fire walls, personnel access etc. but each design is presented to the relevant authority for approval before construction.
Conclusion:
Storemasta endeavours to supply a quality storage system for Dangerous Goods, which meets and exceeds the requirements of the appropriate Standards and Regulations. As described the construction of these units fully complies, but is dependant for final compliance on correct positioning of the unit.
